Elton John Says It Was An ‘Honour To Share The Stage With John Legend’ At Leonardo DiCaprio’s Charity Gala

John Legend found a (sort of) new fan in Sir Elton John at Leonardo DiCaprio’s charity gala in Saint Tropez this week, and if we’re honest, it’s making us all the more jealous that we weren’t there.
Mainly because we spent our evening eating hob nobs and watching ‘Love Your Garden’.

And our parents tell us we don’t know how to live. PFFT.
Posting a photo of the two at the charity fundraiser, 68-year-old Elton praised John, 36, for his musical skills, writing: “Such a honour to share the stage with the incredibly talented John Legend.
“And a joy to raise money to help save our planet for the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation. @johnlegend@leonardodicapriofoundation @ejaf #ShareTheLove.”

From one legend to another, eh?
It’s thought the event raised over $40 MILLION to help protect the earth as part of the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation.
Orlando Bloom, Irina Shayk, Kate Hudson and Michelle Rodriguez all attended the event, although no word on whether they bidded on any of the luxuries on offer.
Leonardo himself put several of his own personal items up for bid, including his own Rolex Daytona Cosmograph watch, and Andy Warhol and Bansky artworks from his personal collection.

All of the items given by DiCaprio raised close to $2 million.
Last year, a walk-on role in one of DiCaprio’s upcoming films sold twice for $2.4 million, while Bono’s personal guitar went for $1 million, following the singer’s live performance at the event.
No big deal.
Well done, everyone, for raising such a huge amount of money for the foundation
