After previous reports claimed Kourtney Kardashian was planning to seek sole custody of the three children she shares with Scott Disick, it’s NOW being reported that she’ll be seeking joint custody instead.
Kourtney called time on their relationship earlier this month, with a source claiming the reality TV star grew tired of Lord Disick’s partying ways.
Yikes.
According to TMZ, the 36-year-old is now hoping to share custody of five-year-old Mason, three-year-old Penelope and seven-month-old Reign with Scott, 32, so that the kids can have a ‘real, meaningful relationship’ with their dad.
Sources have told the site that the Kardashian wants a formal custody agreement that gives both parents a ‘substantial’ amount of time with their kids.
In fact, she’s so keen for this, she’s reportedly using divorce lawyer Laura Wasser, who ‘always’ pushes for joint custody - even though Kourtney and Scott are not married.
As previously reported, both Kim and Khloe used Laura in their respective divorces.
Scott has, according to TMZ, not made any mention of wanting child support, as he has enough money from other business ventures and inheritance.
Scott spoke about how he was doing since the split on Friday, when he travelled to Las Vegas to host a party at 1 OAK nightclub.
Us Weekly report that he told reporters: “I’m just taking it one day at a time.
“With everything going on right now, I need to be positive for myself.”
Sounds like a pretty good idea to us.
Whether joint custody will be granted or not, we’ll have to wait and see.
