Reports reaching Gistfocus says President Buhari has commiserated with the wife of the late Ambassador of Nigeria to the US, Prof. Adebowale Adefuye.
ThisDay Newspapers reports that the President spoke on telephone on Saturday with the wife of the late envoy.
According to statement released by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mr. Garba Shehu, the President said"he was shocked by the death of the diplomat."
Buhari also said that he visit to the US was successful because of the late Ambassador's efforts.
He also added that Adefuye was a patriotic Nigerian, who always put national interest first.
Adding that his virtues should be emulated by Nigerians
